A new era in trade routes is being shaped on the golden shores of “Makran”. As the lynchpin of the visionary China Pakistan Economic Corridor, which itself is a crucial part of the Chinese “One Belt One Road” initiative, Gwadar’s time to shine has finally arrived. Gwadar port is a game-changer for the region, and especially for Pakistan. Once fully operational, it will save a distance of approximately 11,000km for China on its trade route, whose cargo ships are heavily dependent on the Arabian Gulf, and pass through the Straits of Malacca to travel a return distance of 16,000km reaching China in about 2-3 months. Gwadar would cut that time down by 2/3rd. The port has been handed over to the China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC), and it has been officially inaugurated in November 2016.

To transform this small town of Gwadar into an international port city, massive development projects are already underway. Some of the projects already planned and under development stage are:

  • Motorways
  • Gwadar International Airport
  • Housing Societies
  • SEZ’s (Special Economic Zones)
  • 5 & 7-Star Hotels
  • High-Rise Commercial Buildings
  • Railways
  • Hospitals
  • Universities
  • Water Purification Plants
  • 300 MW electricity Coal Based Power Project
  • Schools
  • Sea Front Resorts
  • Industrial Zones

The time to invest in Gwadar is now…
